ABOUT

Dancing with the Cars is the annual grand opening of the Pittsburgh International Auto Show. Tickets sold benefit the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix charities. Cut ‘N’ Run has covered the event and promotions for over three years now. The video along with other promotional material is crucial for ticket sales and overall awareness for the charities that benefit from the event. A difficult task for Cut ‘N’ Run is originating a different format and style each year so the highlights video doesn’t feel redundant to those who watch every year.

PROCESS

The first step in the annual GPADA project is to create a looping video displaying all the paid sponsorships associated with the event. Graphics, animation, and edited video are mixed into a several-minute loops to play throughout the evening. The event is covered in its entirety with interviews from celebrity guests, charity organizers, event attendees, and sponsors. A month-long social media campaign was also delivered in 2017 to increase online public ticket sales. Four themes were cycled over the course of twelve different videos.
